Biography

Maritza Jáuregui-Neely

 

   Maritza started creating art as a child and earned a scholarship to go to college.

 Her first works included sculptures, castings in metals, wood and linoleum carvings.
Maritza taught art for children and adults until she moved to The US.
Throughout the years she has participated in many art exhibits and illustrated many books and magazines, earning awards and recognition; Maritza's artwork is collected internationally and paintings have sold in Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Japan, and all across Mexico and Latin America.
Maritza has been a member of the Board of Directors for the El Paso Art Association and Rio Bravo Watercolorists
